Today I’m going to talk about everything I want to do and achieve this year! I think setting goals is really important and personally, I like to set them every year and even make to do lists for every month. The new year is the perfect time to look back and think about the things you might want to change and do differently. Setting goals might even give you something to look forward to, especially if you set yourself a little reward once you achieve them!
Although I’ve set goals for myself every year for quite a while now, I’ve never really made a realistic plan on how to achieve them. This year, I’ve made a plan for each goal so that they’ll be easier to reach.
This has been one of my goals in the past as well but this year I’ve decided to take a different approach. Instead of trying to get fit or lose a certain amount of weight I simply want to be as healthy as I can! To achieve that, one of the most important things I need to remember is drinking enough water. It literally is the essence of life after all! Another thing is to eat more vegetables which is why I’ve decided to try more vegan and vegetarian meals. I’ve already found so many amazing recipes and I can’t wait to share them with you in a post soon! Last but not least, in order to be healthier, I want to try different forms of exercise. I’ve recently started going to the gym and I’m currently on a pilates course but there are only two times left. There are so many options when it comes to exercise and hopefully, I’ll find a few I enjoy this year!
Focus on the now
Sometimes we might be so focused on the future that we forget to live in the now. Although it’s important to think about the future, prepare for it and set goals like I’m doing now, you can’t exactly live in it. Your life is happening right now and you need to enjoy every second of it. This year I want to be more present and focus on the small things that make me happy!
I’ve always been a rather quiet and shy person which has resulted in me not being able to always speak my mind. This year I want to change that! Whether that is saying no to plans or doing more things I love and want to do. If someone tries to tell me what I need or should do when it comes to my life, I need to speak up and tell them that I’ll do things my way.
I’ve wanted to do this for so long and I’ve actually taken the first steps already! As you might be able to tell I have a new theme and I’ve migrated from Blogger to self-hosted WordPress! I also want to write more lifestyle content. Although it will still be a beauty blog, I’d love to include more book posts, recipes and maybe even bring back fashion posts this year. Only time will tell! Last but not least, I want to find a posting schedule that works for me. Sometimes I’m really inspired and feel like posting five times a week and other times, like this month, I haven’t felt that inspired at all. This year I want to be at least a week or two ahead of my schedule so that when I feel uninspired, there’s still gonna be at least one post going live that week.
