Empties #5

I’ve collected so many empties since I last did this post, but I thought I’d just tell you about a few and not bore you with a post with like 40 reviews on it. If you like these posts then you’re in luck because judging by the amount of empty products I have, there will be a next one soon!

This time I have a mix of makeup and skincare for you so if those sound like you cup of tea then just keep on reading!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
I’m very fussy when it comes to either foundation, concealer or powder as I always struggle with finding a shade that goes with my yellow toned skin. However, both the Bourjois Healthy Mix and the Serum version have the perfect shades and work really well for my dry skin. The original version of this is actually my favourite drugstore foundation!

Would I repurchase this? – Definitely!

The Body Shop Aloe Protective Restoring Mask
This is my go to mask when my skin is feeling dry and dull. It’s very hydrating and soothing on the skin which definitely makes it a stable in my collection through A/W. Last Winter when my skin was in a really bad condition I ended up using this as my night cream and made a huge difference.

Would I repurchase this? – Yes, I always have a backup.

Simple Kind to Skin Moisturising Facial wash
At one point Simple was all over the place because Zoella talked about their products. I decided to try a few products myself and I actually really liked them! This facial wash is a really good regular facial wash but it’s definitely not moisturising even though it claims to be. But it didn’t irritate my skin either like other cheap facial washes can. If you’re looking for a cheap and basic facial wash to try I’d give this one a go!

Would I repurchase this? – Yes, but Simple isn’t sold in Finland anymore and I don’t think it’s so good that I would pay quite a lot for shipping.

Lumene Translucent Mineral Loose powder
This is first translucent loose powder I’ve ever tried and I really like it! It keeps my makeup  in place the whole day and it’s great for baking. If you leave it on for too long when baking it can leave your skin looking whiter so you should be careful with that. It’s a bit expensive for a drugstore product too as it’s almost 20€ and you only get 11g of product whereas with the Laura Mercier powder you get 29g of product and it’s $38.

Would I repurchase this? – Maybe, I’d like to try a few different translucent powders first and see how they compare.

Clinique High Impact Mascara
I used to really like this mascara but now that I’ve decided to try out more of them I think this isn’t worth the money. It’s really good if you want quite natural looking lashes for everyday makeup but you can find so many of those kinds of mascaras from drugstore brands as well. I’d say that skip this mascara unless you’ve really sensitive eyes and Clinique is the only brand that works for you.

Would I repurchase this? – Maybe in the future but now I prefer drugstore mascaras!

The Body Shop Moringa Shower Gel
I love this shower gel! I’m not usually really into flower scents but this one I like. The scent is really calming and it’s not as fresh as say rose scented products. It’s richer and just less floral (can you see that I’m excellent at describing scents??). I like to use different scents for every season but I think this one goes all year round.

Would I repurchase this? – Yes.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion
When my skin has a breakout I always turn to tea tree products. Usually I can cope with just putting tea tree oil on the spots I have but if for some reason there’s more than just a few I use this night lotion. It’s not drying like just the oil can be and it get rid of the spots quickly.

Would I repurchase this? – Definitely!

Have you tried any of the products I mentioned? Are the brands familiar to you?
