Skincare Haul

Happy first of May, Walpurgis Night, Vappu or whatever you call it!

I mentioned in my last post that I’ve been on a spending ban for quite a while now but I did get some essentials a few weeks ago since I was running out.

You still need to take care of your skin even on a spending ban.

Just remember to only stick to the essentials!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Dry & Sensitive Skin
I have only ever tried two micellar waters in my life – this and the Nivea one (see my comparison post here) – and I’m not planning on trying another one anytime soon! It takes off most of my makeup (not waterproof mascara or liquid lipsticks) and leaves my skin feeling really fresh.
I wouldn’t really say that it’s actually hydrating, but it definitely doesn’t feel as drying as the one for Normal & Sensitive Skin – which is probably the reason why they made this in the first place. I have the Oil-Infused version in my drawer too but haven’t had the change to try it yet. Maybe I should do a comparison post once I do….? 😉

Garnier Soothing Toner Normal to Dry Skin
This toner has been a part of my skincare routine for about a year now and I really like it! It has definitely been a skin saviour. It’s the only one that has worked for my dry skin but I can’t use it every day – at least in Winter – or my skin gets even drier. One bad thing about this is that it does have alcohol which isn’t good if you already have dry skin so if you have any alcohol-free toner recommendations leave them below!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Body Wash
If you want a body wash that smells and feels refreshing, this is the one you should go for! It’s soap free and doesn’t dry your skin at all like some tea tree products. Also, if you have acne/any spots on your body this will help to get rid of them.

The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Rescue Cream Mask
This mask is one of my favourites to use when my skin is feeling dry and irritated. I usually put on a thick layer, leave it on for about 15 minutes and rub it in which leaves my skin feeling really hydrated. You can also use it as a moisturiser in the Winter or as a night cream if your skin is in desperate need of moisture.

Have you tried these products? Do you see any of your favourites? How long have you managed to be on a spending ban?
