My Current Skincare Routine | Skincare for Dry Skin

I don't think I've talked about my skincare routine on the blog for the longest time! The reason being that I always felt as though my skin needed to be absolutely perfect before I could tell about the products I'm using and recommend them. Even though that is still not the case, I absolutely love all pf these products, they work amazingly and fulfill their purpose so I just couldn't wait to share my thoughts on them with you!

Just to clarify, I have dry skin which can be quite sensitive to fragrances and certain ingredients. All of these products work for other than skin types as well or have different versions so even if you don't have dry skin you might want to have a read ;)

Philosophy Purity 3-in-1 cleanser
This cleanser is amazing! I actually got this in the ASOS beauty advent calendar last year and it's one of the few products I still use. It's suitable for all skin types, very gentle, doesn't dry out the skin and can be used on the eyes which is always a huge plus! I actually really like the scent as well which is quite rare - I usually skip scented products since they can irritate my skin.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0 toner
I've been using the Clinique exfoliating toner for who knows how long. At some point I thought that I don't really need to use a toner but when I stopped I noticed that my makeup didn't go on my face nearly as smoothly. I've also tried quite a few toners but for me, this is the only one that feels like it actually does something. Since I have dry skin, I try to avoid products that have alcohol in them which is why I've picked up the 1.0 version of the toner. I have used 1 before but since I made the switch, I don't think I'm going back!

Lush Enchanted Eye Cream
The amount of times I've mentioned this eye cream (on the blog and social media) is getting kind of ridiculous but I just love it that much! It feels very light yet is extremely creamy and hydrating. A little goes a long way although it's kind of hard to get a small amount from the bottle. I usually use about half a pump which is more than enough for both of my under eye areas. If you'd like to know more about this eye cream you can read my full review here.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
This brand took the blogging world by storm and everyone is talking about their products. It has been so hard to get my hands on this but I managed to pop the Hyaluronic Acid on my basket when I was shopping on ASOS a few months ago. To be honest, I didn't notice the benefits of this at first but once I went a few days without it I noticed that my skin didn't feel nearly as hydrated and looks as glowy without it. For some reason it just took a while for me to see that, maybe it's one of those products that doesn't show results instantly. At under 10€ it's extremely affordable as well and I can't wait to try more from the brand!

Lush Grease Lighting spot treatment*
I've had this on my Lush wishlist for ages and was lucky enough to receive it in a PR package this Summer. Whenever my skin isn't looking at it's best and I get blemishes, I pop this on in the evening and the spots are pretty much gone the next day! It doesn't leave the skin feeling dry and you can apply it as many times as you want. For me, this is the best spot treatment I've tried and, believe me, I've gone through quite many.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion +
This is another staple product from Clinique. The only other moisturiser I've loved is the Lush Skin Drink but I only use it in winter as it's quite thick. The Moisturising Lotion+ is really hydrating, perfect for those with dry/normal skin, and works wonderfully under makeup as it's not too heavy. You only need about one pump of this which is the perfect amount for your whole face. Now that it's getting colder I probably need to start using something a bit thicker in the evening though as my skin does get even drier this time of the year. If that's not something you experience, I'd definitely recommend this!
