TOP 3 Red Lip Products to Wear at Christmas

Christmas is just around the corner and you've probably either had your Christmas Day makeup planned since the beginning of December, or are just now deciding which products to use.

A red lip is a classic to wear on Christmas Day, so if you have yet to decide which one to go for, here are my Top 3 choices.

ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar Days 7-15

Time for another ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar post! If you want to see me open the calendar every day then make sure you're following me on Snapchat (anuadeliina).

I really liked most of the products I mentioned in the last post but what about the next 9? You'll just have to read to find out ;)

Beauty Gift Guide

Whether you're a bit late and buying presents only a week before Christmas this year, or have stumbled upon this post months later, all of the products the beauty lover in your life might want can be found here.

Including gifts from €150 to €5 you can find the perfect present(s) in your preferred price range. None of these are festive exclusives and can be bought throughout the year.

Jane Iredale Blogger Event

At the beginning of December, I had the chance to attend the Jane Iredale blogger event in Helsinki. I've only attended a handful of events before, but this one was definitely at the top of my favourites!

Lush Christmas Haul

If you follow me on Snapchat, you'd know that I went a bit crazy in Lush... Here's everything I got from their Christmas collection!

Healthier Hair with Aquis

I've had long and thick hair throughout my whole life (except for that one year after I got a bad haircut but that's a story for another time) and I love it! It's the one thing I really like about myself. I even remember one of my friends telling me how some people were referring to me as "the girl with the gorgeous hair". That - of course - made me extremely happy.

But then again, when you have long and thick hair, it can take hours to take care of it, style it and, well, dry it. That's the part when Aquis comes along.
You hair is never so vulnerable and damage prone as when it is wet.  -Aquis

ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar Days 1-6

One of my friends actually asked if I was going to do these posts again of my beauty advent calendar this year - like I did two years - and I was like "you know what, definitely!" I didn't plan on doing these at first, but once she reminded of me them I instantly started changing my publishing schedule for December so I could fit them in. So hopefully you're reading this ;)

If you'd like to see these products before anyone else I will be opening the calendar every day on my Snapchat (anuadeliina or use the snapcode on my sidebar) and showing you what I got! (I'm also doing Snapmas)

Now let's see what I got from the ASOS Beauty Advent calendar during the first 6 days!

November Favourites

November is over which means we're on the last month of the year. That feels so surreal. I know everyone says this but it feel like I just took down my Christmas tree and now it's time to put it up again.

Now let's talk about beauty. I didn't find any new amazing discoveries during the month of November but some products I used stood out to me quite a lot.

Christmas Wishlist 2016

I'm currently listening to my festive playlist on Spotify and it's making me so excited for Christmas! I can't wait to spend time with my family, eat lots of food, sing Christmas songs and share presents. To make it really easy for my family and friends this year, I thought I'd help them out and share my Christmas wishlist here in case they want to get me something ;)

Read my Christmas wishlist below and see what I hope to find under the tree this year!

I'm Doing Snapmas!

It's December!! Can you believe it?! I certainly can't!

It feels like yesterday when all I wanted to do was swim and escape the hotness of Summer sun. I mean, where did Autumn disappear? I don't understand how fast time seems to fly by at the moment.

Anyway, how's December treating you two days in? I've had so much to do this week and while I'm writing this, I'm actually on my way to a very exciting Jane Iredale blogger event!

Since I won't be doing Blogmas this year (you can read my last year's posts here though) I thought I would do Snapmas instead! Basically it's kind of like Vlogmas but on Snapchat ;).

So if you'd like to see what I get up to this December then add me by my username anuadeliina or scan my Snapcode below!

PHOTO DIARY: Fashion Show

Like I mentioned in my Beauty Event of the Year photo diary I had the chance to attend a fashion show and wanted to a separate post about it, so if you've been waiting for it, here it is! This was the second fashion show I have attended at the same event in a different year and they had definitely upped their game.

This year the show was designed by Teri Niitti - as always - and the theme was forces of nature.

I didn't get a seat that close to the stage, as I was running a bit late, but as I did take the photos with a 50mm lens you can see the outfits pretty well!

Without further ado let's look at some outfits!

Enchantment for Your Eyes from Lush

When I first heard about Lush 6 years ago, I thought the only products they carried were their bath products - probably because every Lush haul I'd watch on Youtube had only bath bombs in them.

Now that I've actually been using their products myself for a long time, I've completely fallen in love with many other ones than just the Twilight bath bomb.

Here's one of my favourite skincare products from Lush!
Lush enchanted eye cream
I've had these small fine lines under my eyes as long as I can remember and during the past few years I've noticed that they've gotten a little, well, deeper. When I first started writing this blog, I didn't know a lot about skincare and thought because I had spots, I had to have combination or oily skin. As all of you know - or should know - it's definitely not that simple.

Makeup Haul

I've been doing some shopping... Find out which makeup products are new in my collection!

Ruby Red - A Nail Polish from Makiash

It's Autumn - well, technically it's almost Winter but we shall not talk about that now - and with Autumn comes everything burgundy. For me that's very convenient since I love burgundy.

Another thing I love is painting my nails. Which is kind of a surprise as I haven't been doing that much lately. However, when my September's Livbox arrived and I noticed a tiny dark glass bottle inside, I couldn't wait to get cracking and paint my nails asap!
Makiash Nail Polish in Ruby Red
This nail polish from Makiash has definitely become my most used one this Autumn. But before we get into the actual product, let me talk a little bit about the brand.

ASOS Wishlist

I made two ASOS orders last weekend. I know, TWO. *guilty face*

I can officially say that I have an obsession. To my defence, I had been lusting after most of the pieces for the longest time and the fact that we're so close to Christmas makes me feel extremely spendy.

I don't know why, but I always find myself buying lots of nice things through October/November till Christmas. And as if two orders weren't enough already there's still so many things on the site I'm lusting after. Here's a sneak peek inside my "saved items"

PHOTO DIARY | the Beauty Event of the Year

Two weeks ago I had one of the craziest yet the most amazing weekends in a long time. I was so honoured to receive a blogger pass to the biggest beauty, fashion, lifestyle and health event of the year!

The event is called "I love me" and it's held every year at Messukeskus which is an Expo and Convention Centre in Helsinki with over 53 000 people attending this year. The event lasts for three days straight and every day is filled with all kinds of activities. You can even take a yoga lesson if you feel like it! Or if you're more like me, you'll probably book yourself a manicure or relaxing face massage.

Even though beauty isn't the only theme at the event that's the part I'm going to show you in photos today. I did have the chance to attend one of the fashion shows too, but I decided to do a completely separate post on that because otherwise this one would've just kept going on and on.

There's a few non-beauty related photos in the mix too but I hope you enjoy the photos nonetheless!

The $2 Fan Brush

I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22 I love collecting makeup brushes! In the past year my collection has grown so much and I think I have ten brushes just for foundation that are all quite similar but then again not so similar... Lol

The one brush I couldn't find in the jars on the top of my vanity just a few months ago - no matter how hard I looked - was a fan brush. You know, for highlighter. Fortunately, when BornPrettyStore contacted me one of the products they sent happened to be a fan brush!

That Autumn Feeling

The hot and bright Summer days are now long gone and it's time for rainy days, orange leaves and boots. The season we've all been waiting for is finally here aka Autumn!

Empties #5

I've collected so many empties since I last did this post, but I thought I'd just tell you about a few and not bore you with a post with like 40 reviews on it. If you like these posts then you're in luck because judging by the amount of empty products I have, there will be a next one soon!

This time I have a mix of makeup and skincare for you so if those sound like you cup of tea then just keep on reading!

Summer Makeup Favourites

Fun fact: it took me hours just to decide what to call this post, the options being Summer Favourites or Loving Lately because it's already the end of September and I felt like it might be a bit late for telling you which products I loved this Summer. But you know, rules are meant to be broken so here I am telling you just that! Plus these aren't exactly products that I've loved recently so technically I'd be lying to you if I said that.

This Summer I ended up using a lot of the same products throughout the three month period. There's definitely a mix of new favourites and some that I've used for a really long time.

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette

Every beauty enthusiast loves a good eyeshadow palette and the infamous Urban Decay Naked palettes have taken over the high end section. Everyone and their dog seems to be at least talking about these palettes or have one in their collection.

I currently own two of them - and one day would love to have them all - but the one that I've been using a lot recently is the Naked 3.
I've been using this palette like crazy for the past few months and it has definitely become one of my favourites. The pigmentation on most of the shadows is absolutely amazing - like on all Urban Decay shadows usually - and the shades themselves look gorgeous!

Duchess, Blogging and Online School

The last few weeks have been, well, weird. I've been feeling really tired and cranky which is no fun. Also I seem to be having this funny situation going on where whenever I sit in front of a computer I can't seem to get anything done (hence the lack of posts lately). I know what I need to do and when but the correct words and sentences just can't seem to form on the screen.

Sephora Color IQ Experience & How It Works

If you've been following my blog for over a year you might remember that I visited Washington D.C. at the end of April in 2015 (check out my USA beauty hauls if you're interested).

I can't believe it's been that long!

While I was in the US I had to visit Sephora multiple times and ended up trying their Color IQ foundation matching service. Now you might be wondering why on earth would I write a post about something that happened over a year ago but I've literally been working on this post the whole time! Well not exactly but almost...

As soon as I got back to Finland from Washington I wrote down everything that happened, all the numbers and where I could find more information if needed. But I just couldn't make the post as informative as I wanted so I decided to let it be, improve it overtime and post it when I think it was ready.

Well, the time has come!

Lush Haul

We only have two Lush stores here in Finland and both are located in Helsinki so when I was there last month I needed to stock up on a few Lush goodies. I already shared a little preview on my Snapchat (anuadeliina) when I bought all of these but Lush always deserves a post too am I right? ;)

Blogging Rut

After not updating for a while and my posting schedule being quite irregular I thought I'd do a quick post on why I haven't been as active as I would have liked.

For the past two months I've been in the worst blogging rut. I feel like everything in my blog needs a change. And well, you know, not everything but some really big parts.

12 Hours in Helsinki

Last Thursday we drove to Helsinki to see my sister and yet again celebrate me turning 18. I captured most of it on my Snapchat (anuadeliina) but I also wanted to share the better quality and more "artistic" photos I took with my camera here on the blog.

At first we drifted through the local marker square and everything was just so colourful I had to take a few shots!

Wishlist | Shoe Lovin'

If you follow me on any of my social media accounts you've probably seen me talking about shoes. A lot. I've never really been one of those people that have many pairs of shoes and usually I just throw on the same pair every day.

Lush Skin Drink

I love Lush. I feel like even that's an understatement looking at the amount of products I own and use on a daily basis. It has come to the point where 80%  of the products I use during my everyday skincare routine is from Lush.

If you've been reading my blog for a while now, you know that I absolutely adore their bath products but recently I've been really excited to try everything else they offer. One of the products that has really stuck with me - and I've already recommended to half the people I know - is Lush Skin Drink.

My 18th Birthday Celebrations

So I turned eighteen...

It's already been almost three weeks since my birthday and I still can't wrap my head around the fact that apparently I'm an adult now. I think it's so weird that now I'm able to do things I couldn't do a month ago.
My birthday was on a Tuesday so me and one of my best friends decided to hop on a bus and spend a very chilled day in Tampere. Of course we had to do some shopping so as soon as we arrived we went to Sokos and swatched all the NYX lipsticks! We also had the the best ice cream coffee ever *heart eyes emoji*

Our main event of the day was going to the movies to see "Now You See Me 2" - I would definitely recommend it, it's one of my favourite films! Then we did some more shopping, ate dinner and took a bus back home. Like a said, a very chilled day.
I snapchatted the whole day which is why I don't have any photos but if you want, you can add me at 'anuadeliina' or by scanning my snapcode on the sidebar ;)

18 Facts About Me

facts about me, birthday, 18 facts
It's my birthdayyyy! Woop woop!

I'm turning 18 today so, just for fun, I thought I'd share 18 random facts about me. I love reading posts like this and I think my birthday is the perfect day to get to know me a bit better - am I right?

Let's get right into it then!

1. I love dancing and was part of a dance group for five years when I was younger.

2. I've never broken a bone!

3. I'm definitely a night owl and can't sleep during a full moon.

My Go To Under Eye Concealer

Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in 01 Ivory. My go to under eye concealer
Lets be honest here, I bought the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch highlighting concealer for the first time in 2013, tried it and completely forgot about it. Over a year ago when I was cleaning out my makeup collection I decided to try out the product I had so quickly criticised and ended up wondering why I had given up on it so easily! Now it has become my favourite under eye concealer.

Would You Rather | Beauty Edition

I love reading all kinds of posts where the reader can get to know the face behind the blog a bit better.  Most of the time these are lifestyle posts but then I found this Would You Rather Beauty Edition post while browsing the internet the other day and knew that I had to answer the questions here on the blog one day.
1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
First of all, what kind of question is this?!? I wouldn't actually mind losing all of my mascaras and eyeliner since I don't really use eyeliner and keep going back to the Maybelline LashSensational mascara. But lipsticks and lip glosses - I have about 90 of them so losing all would be literally heartbreaking!
I do love all of my palettes and eyeshadows and use them a lot more than lip products so I'd rather lose all of my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses. If that actually happened though I'd most likely cry!

2. Would you rather chop off all of your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never be able to cut it. My hair had to be cut quite short once - just above my chest (you can see the length in this outfit post) - and even though it wasn't that short it felt really weird for someone who has always had almost waist length hair.

18th Birthday Wishlist

I'm turning 18 in less than two weeks and I just can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm supposed to be an adult soon. I mean, is everything seriously just supposed to change when the clock strikes midnight?

I'll probably be spending the day sitting on the couch watching Disney films with a tub of ice cream and pretend to be a five-year-old. Yep, sounds like a plan. Anyone care to join?

Eat Smart book by Niomi Smart
I've been (trying) to eat healthier for about 9 months now and watching Niomi's "What I Eat in a Day" videos have given me lots of recipes to try and I've loved all of them! I can only imagine how many amazing recipes there's on the book.
Eat Smart on

Urban Decay Naked 1 palette
I already own Naked 2 and 3 and absolutely love the formula! They're the best eyeshadows I've tried so far and hopefully I'll own all four of them in the future. Since I've been loving warm tones on my lids recently the Naked 1 would be an amazing addition to my collection.

Essie Fiji

Essie is hands down one of my top 3 nail polish brands and I've always been lusting after the shade Fiji. Unfortunately Essie polishes are quite expensive here in Finland so I've never really bought any even though I love them so much.

Last month I went shopping in Tampere - if you follow me on Snapchat (anuadeliina) you might remember - and they were having an event called "Värien juhla" (raw translation: Celebration Of Colours) in Sokos.

Because of the event, you could get your nails done for free and since I had some time to kill, I decided to get them painted with Fiji. Whilst the girl painted them, she told me that all of the Essie polishes were also on sale! Of course I had to buy the shade I had been lusting after for so long.

30 Things I Want to Do This Summer

Loading: Summer ██████░░░░░░

Summer has just begun which means warm weather, lots of ice cream and swimming!

Time has flown by so quickly this year so it's important to make the most of things. I don't usually like planning my life a lot but this Summer there's definitely a few things I want to do to make it as memorable as possible.
Here's a list of the things I'd love to do in the Summer 2016! (The ones in bold are at the top of my to do list!)

  1. Get a henna tattoo
  2. Make lemonade from scratch
  3. Build a sand castle
  4. Visit the Medieval Market in Turku
  5. Go vegan for a week
  6. Visit Stockholm
  7. Dip-dye my hair purple

Goals and Wishes for Spring - Did I Achieve Them?

It's the last day of May which basically means Spring is over and Summer is officially making it's way into our lives. I don't know whether to be excited or not because even though I love Summer, I don't really get on with the hot weather. Unless I'm actually going somewhere on holiday.

Back to my point.

Since Spring is now in its final stages lets see whether I've achieved my goals and wishes for this season.

1. Write more lifestyle/personal posts - This is the goal I really wanted to achieve but you know, didn't. I didn't seem to have much time to blog as I wanted anyway so that might be part of the reason why. I really hope I'll be able to achieve this during the Summer!

2. Plan posts more in advance - I did end up planning them - quite a lot actually - but didn't really go with the plan. Which is kind of the whole point right? Something to also work on during the Summer!

Current Favourite Blushes

Hi all! Hope you didn't miss me too much ;)

I had to take a little break from blogging and you can read all about it in my latest post if you'd like. Now it finally feels like everything in my life has calmed down a bit and I can get back to writing again!

I also had a small writer's block during the break I took but now I'm finally back and feel much more motivated and filled with ideas.

A Reminder...

Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely day! I spent mine feeling really sleepy and being extremely unproductive because of that.

TOP 10 Met Gala Outfits

I've always been a huge enthusiast of fashion so naturally I love seeing what celebrities wear to big events like Met Gala, the Oscars, Grammy Awards, Teen Choice Awards... All that kind of stuff.

Last night it was time for the Met Gala 2016.

This year the theme was "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology". Now I'm not that keen on following wether people have dressed according to the theme or not. I just like to look at the dresses and see which ones I like most.

So without further ado, here are my top 10 Met Gala outfits!

Skincare Haul

Happy first of May, Walpurgis Night, Vappu or whatever you call it!

I mentioned in my last post that I've been on a spending ban for quite a while now but I did get some essentials a few weeks ago since I was running out.

You still need to take care of your skin even on a spending ban.

Just remember to only stick to the essentials!

Wishlist | NYX Cosmetics

I've been on a spending ban since the beginning of 2016 and it has actually been going really well! I did get the MannyMUA x MakeupGeek palette when it launched but it's limited edition so it doesn't count... Right?!

Don't judge me. It was ONE palette! Which did cost $45...

Moving on...
I'm thinking about ending my spending ban in May because I think 4 months is a pretty good length for a spending ban! Like any normal person I've still been lusting after a few many things and this time all of them are from NYX.

They finally launched in Finland at the beginning of April and now I want to try everything as you can see from my way too long wishlist.

Candy Queen of Hearts

Blush has slowly but surely become one of my favourite makeup products.

If you had told me even 6 months ago that in 2016 I'd fell in love with blush I would've thought you were insane. Yet here we are, me going crazy over every single one I see.
The blush I've been particularly loving is the I ♡ Makeup Blushing Hearts in Candy Queen of Hearts which comes in a cute little heart heart-shaped cardboard box.

Empties #4 | Haircare

Four reasons hair powder, sim sensitive dry shampoo, no nothing shampoo, haircare empties
It's been almost a year since I've done an Empties post and I've collected so many products I decided to only share a few today, rather than making this post way too long. So keep in mind that there's definitely going to be another empties post all about makeup/skincare really soon ;). But today we're talking about haircare products.
Cutrin Colorism Shampoo
I'm going to be very straightforward with this one - it did nothing for my hair. Actually, it did make my hair look shiny like it's supposed to but as this shampoo is meant for colour treated, normal and fine hair I found it to be too moisturising. That made my hair feel dirty even though it had just been washed. If you really do have colour treated or fine hair, this would probably work well for you. I did get this in a Livbox so I'm not that disappointed.

Would I repurchase? - No, as it doesn't match my hair type.

No Nothing Very Sensitive Volume Shampoo
Again, I didn't really notice any major changes in my hair due to volume but this is still a good basic shampoo. I also like the fact that it doesn't contain any perfume, colorants or parabens. The list on the bottle - no worries, no sleepless nights etc - is also really cute and funny!

Would I repurchase? - No since I have shampoos that make my hair voluminous.

March Livbox

This month's Livbox was one of the most exciting ones I've received! The products have been chosen by five different bloggers from Finland. I love the Livbox blogger boxes as then I can usually read more about the product on the blogger's blog. This month the box had two makeup products in it which is really exciting as in the past few months it has been quite skin/body/haircare loaded. I think that all of the products in the box are also suitable for sensitive skin so if that's something you're looking for definitely keep on reading!
Dermosil Trio Brow Powders (6,90€/4,5g)
I had never heard of this brand before I got the box! I was really excited to try this as, well, it was the other makeup product in the box. Also it is quite affordable! The palette has two brow powders and a subtle highlighter. The powders are really good quality and even though I usually don't like drugstore products that come with a brush, the one in this palette is really good. That makes it easy to take the palette with you! The only problem I find with this palette is that the middle shade is a bit too red for me and the right one is too dark. When I mix them together I get the perfect shade though. Overall, I really like this!

Spring Fashion Pinspiration

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Easter or if you don't celebrate it, just had an amazing long weekend :).

Now, let's talk about Pinterest. I'm officially addicted. I've been using it for quite a while now but in the past few months I've been really into it! It's such an amazing way to find inspiration and organise important websites/posts into categories.

Since Spring is finally here I've been going crazy on my Spring Fashion board! Personally I like to wear lots of floral prints and bright colours in Spring. Even in my board's cover the girl is wearing bright pink jeans which I'd love to find and be able to rock!

My favourite Spring colours in clothing are definitely pink (in any shade), grey and white! You can never go wrong with denim either. See more Spring Fashion inspiration on my board below! Also leave your Pinterest link in the comments so I can stalk and follow you ;).

What are your favourite styles for this Spring?

Let's keep in touch
