NOTD | Silver Summer

I've been loving all kinds of bright colours on my nails this Summer! If you would've seen me walking down the street you probably would have noticed my bright pink or blue nail polish.

I was actually about to try a nail art I saw on https://instagram.com/ohmygoshpolish/ which was a cool polkadot kind of design.

She used a silver nail polish as her base coat and when I applied the one I had in my collection onto my nails, I just couldn't continue practising the art!
The shade I'm wearing on my nails is from Depend Cosmetics in number 223. I bought this nail polish such a long time ago and didn't even remember I had it! Even though it's not exactly a very "summery" shade I just fell in love with it.

It's a straight on metallic silver shade and even though it's matte, the metallic look gives it a nice shine. It also dries really quickly and you only need one coat to get this much coverage. It's very easy to work with too, even though I've has this for so long!

I can't honestly describe how much I'm in love with this nail polish now that I found it again. Definitely get your hands on this one if you can!

Unboxing | Livbox July

This month's Livbox was all about nature. The products include ingredients from the wild and have natural scents or are unfragranced. This box contained hair- and skincare products, no makeup this month.
Schwarzkopf Professional Essensity Colour & Repair Shampoo (14,90€/250ml) and Conditioner (14,90€/200ml) both 50ml samples - I haven't tried these products yet as I'm trying out another shampoo at the moment but I absolutely love the sound of these. They don't have any additional fragrances, silicones, paraffin- or mineral oils. Then again they contain lots of amazing ingredients like marula oil, almond protein and organic pomegranate that help to repair damaged hair. They smells like pitch which I absolutely love as I like the scent of forest.

Klorane Gentle Dry Shampoo (6,40€/50ml) - I've never heard of this brand before but as soon as I tried this dry shampoo, I knew I liked it. It smells really natural, I quite put my finger on it though. It's suitable for all hair types and contains oat milk.
My hair looks really voluminous after applying the dry shampoo and feels clean. It can make dark hair look a bit grey from the roots though so make sure you spray it 20-30cm away from your hair.
Lumene Refreshing Foot Cream (4,90€/75ml) - I love using foot creams especially in the Summer as I like to keep my feet in good condition when I wear shoes like sandals. It contains birch which is supposed to make your feet feel fresh and honey to soften your feet. When I first smelled it I would've said it has a minty scent but maybe that just the birch and even though it has honey in it, it doesn't smell sweet at all.

ACO Moisturising Day Cream (11€/50ml) - I started using this moisturiser as soon as I noticed it in the box as I really needed a new one. The one I have is for normal/combination skin but ACO has one for dry and one for oily skin too. It feels light on the skin and absorbs quickly like it promises. My face feels moisturised the whole day and this also works well under your makeup. It's also unfragranced so it would be good for anyone with sensitive skin in my opinion.
La Roche-Posay Lipikar Gel-Fluide (17,10€/200ml) - This gel moisturiser has a very thin gel consistency and it absorbs in seconds. It's supposed to sooth dry skin and help control itching. I still haven't tried this but I think this would be perfect for Winter or any other time when your skin is really dry.

There was also a snack bar called Hula in the box and it was completely natural, no gluten, lactose or additives. The one I got had cranberries in it and was called "Wild Cranberry". I really like these kind of snacks that don't have anything redundant in them.

Best Bronze Eyeshadow

I've always been one of those girls that have always loved eyeshadows but haven't really known how to blend them correctly or tell what shades go well together. Few months ago I finally decided to start experimenting more with every product in my makeup collection - including eyeshadows.

In my opinion my skills are slowly growing and now I love doing different eye looks even though some of them might take a few tries.
However, some days I might feel quite lazy or I'm in a rush but I still want a little bit of colour on top of my eyelid. That's where the Maybelline Color Tattoos come along.

My 1st Blogiversary

It has been exactly a year since I published my first post on this little space on the internet!

I'd just like to thank everyone who has read and commented on my blog as it means so much to me. The past year has already been incredible, but lets make the next one even better ;).

All the love

Sample Surfing | Dove Deeply Nourishing Body Wash

I thought I'd start a new series and as you can tell from the title, it's all about samples. All of you probably know that these posts are basically going to be like reviews but on some of them I haven't been able to test the product more than once or twice.
Now let's get on with the post!
I received this 55ml sample of the Dove Deeply Nourishing Body Wash in May's Livbox (post here). It's supposed to be a very moisturising body wash that leaves your skin feeling softer and smoother just after one use. It has a new fresh but subtle scent to it which I absolutely love!

I didn't have a lot of expectations with this body wash as it's really cheap, 2.45€/250ml, and I really haven't had much luck with products from Dove before. I still began my trial with an open mind. When first applied this body wash creates a very thin foam which feels very soft against your skin. After a couple of tries I did notice that my skin felt softer and smoother as promised.

However, after using this about a week I noticed that it only dried my skin more. I continued to use it anyway but after almost three weeks of use I gave up as it still continued to dry my skin.

Even though this product wasn't a success for me I still suggest you give this a go - especially if you can find a sample version - because if it hadn't dried my skin, I'd be in the store right now buying a full sized bottle.
