USA Trip post #1 | HUGE Drugstore Haul

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well!

I'm sorry for being MIA for the past few weeks. I've been extremely jetlagged for the longest time ever after my US trip and then I even caught a cold, lucky me... About my trip to the US, I bought so much makeup. I think my collection is probably twice as big now than it was before! But what can you do when you see brands you've been lusting after for so long and can't get your hands on them in your own country? Well personally, I couldn't control myself.

Just to let you know there will be at least three haul posts from my US trip so I hope you lot are as nosey as I am and like to see all the makeup bits the other person has bought lately!
The Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes mascara has been my number one mascara ever since I tried it and I just couldn't help repurchasing it even though I've many others to go through. I think the two different wands makes it so much easier to apply and the formula is great too!

I really wanted to try the Benefit Roller Lash but even after reading amazing reviews about it, I thought I'd first try the Maybelline Lash Sensational and see if I like that one and then perhaps try Benefit Roller Lash. Another hyped mascara I really want to try is the L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes so I really hope it's as good as I'm expecting it to be!

The L'Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper is also one of my favourite beauty products I've bought but I thought I'd give the transparent one a go as I find that the medium to dark makes my brows look almost black.
Let me just start off by saying that I absolutely love the Maybelline Color Tattoos! I had one but used it all and didn't buy any more because they discontinued so many gorgeous shades in Finland. So as a beauty addict I bought five of them in one go.

The shades I bought are:
  • 90 Vintage Plum
  • 95 Chocolate Suede
  • 55 Inked in Pink (I think this might be called Pink Gold in the UK, not sure though)
  • 140 Rose Riot (limited edition)
  • 25 Bad to the Bronze (again this might be called On and On Bronze in the UK)
When I asked on Twitter what are some of the products I absolutely have to get while I'm on my trip and everyone told me to get the Milani blushes. I got the powder blush in the shade Tea Rose which my friend Jane actually recommended I we both think it's the perfect everyday blush shade. I love how it's in the pattern of a rose but it makes me not want to use because it's so pretty!

Out of the baked blushes I got the shades Corallina and Berry Amore. I do think I will the using Berry Amore a lot more in the AW time. One think that highly annoys me about these baked blushes is that they come with a freaking brush. It wouldn't matter if the brush would actually be soft but I will probably just throw the brushes away...

I finally got my hands on the Revlon Colorstay foundation but at home I noticed the shade 200 Nude is too light for me. One thing about the CVS (or actually all of them) I went to was that they didn't have any testers. How can you know your foundation shade without testers?! I then picked two of the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch concealers as I think this is an amazing under eye concealer!

Another amazing under eye concealer I found is the NYX Dark Circle Concealer. It's a orange/salmon shade so it covers the blueness extremely well. It's very creamy too if you apply it with your finger and only $6!

Rimmel Lasting Finish primer and the L'Oreal Infallible Setting Spray are absolutely amazing at making my makeup stay on longer. The primer is really good for dry skin and because of the setting spray I don't need any powder at all! (just to remind you I do have dry combination skin)
I don't have a lot to say on these lip products as I haven't tried any of them yet - I've basically just kept them in a bag so I can remember all the products I bought, haha. What I can tell you though is that I think the Revlon Colorburst smell absolutely amazing with their very fresh minty scent!

Shades from left to right:
  • Revlon Colorburst in 045 Romantic and 245 Audacious
  • Revlon Lip Butter in 027 Juicy Papaya and 080 Strawberry Shortcake
  • wet n wild lipsticks in Ready to Swoon and Hot Paris Pink
  • Rimmel Moisture Renew in 260 Berry Rose (I'm so sorry that I forgot to take the lid off of this!)
I actually bought these Rimmel lipsticks from London Heathrow airport because they weren't available in the US. The two nudes are recommendations from Gabby from velvetgh0st

Shades from left to right:
   • Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in 077 Asia
   • Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 03
   • Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in 016 Heartbreaker

I hope you enjoyed this long haul post!
Let me know if you've tried any of these products :)

  3. Love this haul! The color tattoos do have different names here in the UK. I love them, must have 7 or so by now. I also love the big eyes mascara! The little wand is my favourite! Use it for my bottom lashes all the time :) X

  7. Hope you had a lovely holiday in the US. You picked up some great products. Love the look of the Milani blushes and the colour tattoos. Wish we had all the shades available in the UK but we only have some. Been planning a trip to the US for so long but have not gone yet. I hope I manage to book it by next year the latest as I have a huge list of stuff I want to get. :) x

  8. Looks like you got your shop on in the States! What a fab haul, (I'm going to go and stalk your other haul in a minute too!) I love the Color Tattoos. I have the On and On Bronze shade but didn't really find any other good shades for sale in Finland. I didn't realise they'd discontinued a whole bunch. Enjoy all of your lovely goodies my dear - only jealous a little, I swear ;) xxx

  14. Haha, I know how you feel! I think we don't have even half of these products in Finland, it's crazy! I wish I had bought some more of those as the pink one doesn't suit me that well... That's a reason to come back to the US though ;)x

  15. I did, thank you Renata :). The Milani blushes are so good and adorable looking too!
I agree with you on the colour tattoos, I think we only have 5 in Finland...? It would be amazing if you could buy all the shades wherever you live.
I've been to the US 2 times and we've always found very cheap flights. Just keep your eyes open, I think you can find an offer soon enough :) xx
